I speak well but not fluently in a variety of situations. I can express quite complex ideas, but I experience difficulty in understanding fast speech of native speakers.

I feel confident and competent to express ideas on many topics. I only occasionally make mistakes and sometimes don't know the correct vocabulary.

I am fluent and confident in expressing myself, although I sometimes have problems with more complex ideas or unfamiliar situations.

Proficiency
|
I speak English fluently and understand almost everything, although I sometimes have difficulty with very colloquial English and I would like to extend my range of vocabulary.

To most intents and purposes, I operate at the level of a well-educated native speaker, although my range of vocabulary is not quite as extensive.
